my analysis

McCain and Huck supporters are living a bad dream.

The interpretation question to Huck on wives and husbands was right up his alley being a former minister.  It would have been very interesting if the moderator turned to Romney and asked his view on same scripture.  You know Huck and his smooth delivery of religious subjects was easy for him to answer.  And I don't buy his saying all the religious questions seem go to him.  That's all he's lived off of to be in this race and he's going to find out that it's his record, not his faith, that the American people are interested in in the long run.  And using religion to galvinize the Evanelists against Romey was outwardly innocent but inwardly sinister.  He knew exactly what he was saying and who his target audience was.  They got the message alright and voted him first in Iowa.

McCain is past his prime.  I love his dedication to the security of the country and blood he spilt in Nam but his pattern of government is not what we want to follow.  I sense a definite subduing of his wanting to just tear into someone - especially those who challenge him.  His calling Hanitty and Colmes 'jerks' was not classy at all, even in jest.  It stopped H&C in their tracks not believing he said that.  This man has no place in the White House.

I'll say that Thompson did finally come out of his shell but only because he has too.  I like the man but he seems to have only great one liners and I agree with the one lady in Lunz's group who said that he seem too flippant.  I want to hear presidential, not good 'ole down home country talk (if there is such a thing).  His one liners get your attention, but then the follow-up supporting answers fall flat.

Giuliani did himself good tonight.  If he's waiting for Florida, why don't we read from his supporters on these blogs?  Or from anywhere else for that matter?  Are there any?

And Ron Paul?  Geeeeesh...  Any wonder why he was left out of the last debate?

Now Romney was not heard from alot tonight.  Seems the focus was on Thompson, McCain and Huck tonight.  But when he was given the opportunity, he sounded his usual clear, concise and hopeful self.  I support Romney because of his record and accomplishments in the private and public sectors.  I can see him taking-on any of the Democratic candidates.  There is no one on either side of the aisle that has a record like him - not even close.  It is true the msm are after him because he seems to have it all - money, family, spotless record and looks.  Not to mention an intelligence that is the envy of all the candidates.  But like jealous kids, the msm and his fellow opponents gang up on him because they know he is THE threat to their candidacy and philosophy and...because he is right.  He truly does have all the answers and if he doesn't, he is the most qualified person to get the right answers for this country.

Mitt's the one for America.
